South Anderson Veterinary Clinic, IN Description of Elective Experience: Hello! We want to introduce ourselves…
Here is a list of skills one of our 2022 externs (who is a 4th-year CVM student) said she gained in 3 weeks with us:
Okay, now that we got that out of the way, and hopefully grabbed your attention, here’s a bit more detail about our practices:
Meet Dr. David Eddleman A native of Missouri, I graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. I started out at a bustling veterinary clinic in southern Indiana before taking a position in Muncie, Indiana. The chance of a lifetime opened up to me when South Anderson Veterinary Clinic was posted for sale in 2000. In 2000, I became the official owner of SAVC. In 2009, I was unexpectedly approached about opening a second practice. And as every piece fell perfectly into place, I opened Country Critters Veterinary Hospital in the Spring of 2010. We even had an appointment the first day we were open. Today, both practices are thriving and growing quickly, with an all-star TEAM and great clients. I am always looking to bring another veterinarian into the SAVC/CCVH family, even for internships and externships. I believe great things happen when everyone is willing to roll up their sleeves and work together with a common goal in mind. In our daily practice, we strive to care for each animal as our own. Because we believe that the pet-owner bond is precious and that each pet and person deserves to be loved. If you are interested or have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly (or my Hospital Administrator Allison). I hope to hear from you soon! Dr. David Eddleman, DVM Allison Eddleman, MBA
South Anderson Veterinary Clinic South Anderson Veterinary Clinic is a full-service, Christian-owned, companion animal hospital that has been an anchor in the community since I purchased it in 2000. We continue to grow and expand our expertise each year, providing us the opportunity to open our doors for interns/externs. We have weekly doctor meetings to discuss current and new protocols and to have a relaxing lunch together. The current staff-to-doctor ratio is 8:1. Our lobby, lab/pharmacy, and doctors' office areas have been recently remodeled and updated. The kennel runs are custom Snyder runs and freshly painted. Our equipment includes but is not limited to:
We do a lot of in-house cytology, UAs, and dermatology work-ups. One of our doctors has a CCRT and does rehab on all of our orthopedic cases as well as for weight loss and chronic conditions. South Anderson Veterinary Clinic is located just north of Indianapolis, Indiana (approximately 30 minutes). In nearby Fishers, there is a 24-hour hospital that offers after-hour emergency coverage and will take our critical cases for after-hours observation if needed. Country Critters Veterinary Hospital Country Critters Veterinary Hospital is our sister practice that I opened in 2010 and currently shares the SAVC team. CCVH is located about 10 miles away (10-15-minute drive) from SAVC and is growing rapidly (>30% per year). The atmosphere is warm, and the pace allows the doctor/client relationship to cultivate organically. CCVH also has cutting-edge equipment such as:
