Description of Elective Experience

Primarily ambulatory clinical experience with horses and small ruminants.  Opportunity for in clinic small animal medicine and surgery also available. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Full support staff, well equipped ambulatory vehicles as well as clinic serving central Maryland.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

We are flexible in working with students but realize that the after-hours emergency calls provide the most unique and valuable experience for our externs.  Students will always be with a doctor with experience working with student externs.
