We strive to create a supportive and collaborative atmosphere where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and growing clinicall

Students are encouraged to take an active role in patient care under the supervision of attending veterinarians. Responsibilities will vary based on the student’s level of experience and comfort, but may include participating in physical examinations, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, and interpreting laboratory and imaging results.
Students may assist with procedures such as catheter placement, sample collection, wound management, and basic surgical or emergency procedures as appropriate. They will also have the opportunity to observe and assist in the management of critically ill and hospitalized patients, including participation in rounds and case discussions.
