Description of Elective Experience

Students will be shadowing Doctors in Exam rooms and given the oppertunity to take the lead during examinations with the imput of the doctor on duty.

Students will be assisting with surgical procedures under doctor supervision if time allows. 

We encourage students to perform jugular blood draws and place IV catheters

We encourage any and all questions; we want our students to obtain real clinical experience during their two weeks with us

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Our facility is equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound, EKG, endoscopy (flexible and rigid), ultrasound, indexx laboratory equipment, nebulization, and blood gas monitoring. We are strictly an emergency hospital dealing with various issues such as physical trauma, vomiting diarrhea, difficulty breathing, seizures, indigestion of food toxins and straining to urinate.
