Versova Management - Trillium Farms, IA

Description of Elective Experience

We plan on taking students on a variety of site visits to our pullet and layer facilities within the Trillium Farms system in Ohio. During the week they will get to learn about daily management practices, how to necropsy chickens and collect samples, basics of biosecurity and disease surveillance programs, will have the opportunity to do rounds topics on relevant diseases, and interact with farm staff.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Normal work hours are 8am-5pm but this may vary if we travel to the northern sites (Marseilles or Mount Victory, OH). Student will be supervised by staff.
