Description of Elective Experience

General Practice DVM seeing appointments 3 days, with a Surgery DVM 5 days, with an Urgent Care DVM seeing appointments 2 days.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

We have a Doctor's assistant with every DVM,  Hospital techs overseeing outpatient procedures, 3 CVTs assisting the surgury DVM, a full library of books, journals, lifelearn, and VIN, Dental machines, Digital radiography, UltraSound machine

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Students are scheduled Monday - Friday, 8- 9 hours a day depending on how busy the schedule is. We expect a lot of questions from students regarding procedures and if asked or willing, they are allowed to assist the DVM on a limited basis.
