Description of Elective Experience

Depends upon time of year.  Fully equipped mixed animal practice with pregnancy examination, obstetrics, feedlot consultation, sick animal exams, production medicine, small animal wellness, surgery, and internal medicine, equine wellness, surgery and internal medicine, and reproductive services.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

5 licensed technicians, 4 veterinarians, 4 office staff shared between 2 clinics separated by 38 Miles.

digital radiography, ultrasound, gas anesthesia, roll over chute, portable silencer chute.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Open 8-5 Monday through Friday, 8-1 Saturday 

Usually have students help with out of hours calls as well if available.

Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info)

Stay with a doctors family.  Ask about pet prior to bringing.  Most meals provided.
