Description of Elective Experience

We are a 2 doctor general small animal practice located in Los Angeles. We are primarily canine and feline, but do see some rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice and chickens. The student will be responsible for getting a physical examination on patients, working up possible differential diagnoses and discussing treatment plans. We have a full in-house labroratory

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Students are expected to be ready to work Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm. They will be shadowing the primary DVM during this time. There will be time set aside for them to work through cases and present their findings and plan.
