Description of Elective Experience

We are a full service veterinary hospital. The intern will experience all facets of well care, surgery and sick pet care as well. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

We are a brand new state of the art full service veterinary hospital. We have 2 FT Dr's and 2 PT Dr's one of which specializes in acupuncture and chinese herbal medicine. In addition to all the standard equiptment we also have an oxygen generator, a CO2 laser, and an ultrasund machine.

We have 2 FT technicians and 4 assistants. we are open 6 days a week and see wellness, sick pets and emergency. We have a technician who lives on the premise and are able to accomidate overnight hospitalizations. 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

We were advised she will be required to be here 40 hours per week. We are flexable and discussed 9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday.
