Description of Elective Experience

Daily observation and participation in private small animal surgical specialty practice, with an emphasis on orthopedic, soft tissue, surgical oncology and emergency cases.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Students are responsible for shadowing Dr. Robin Holtsinger and participating in all aspects of case management and patient care. Generally there is a 4 day work week with an average of 10-12 hours/day. There will also be exposure to surgical emergency cases.
