Description of Elective Experience

Working 4 doctors at South Bay with small animals practitioners in room and in the surgery suites.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

2 ultrasound units, 1 surgery suite, 2 dental stations, digital X-ray, 7 exam rooms, 12 nurses

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

4 -10 hour days. General surgical knowledge, exam room discussions, handling skills and general medicine discussion, lots of walk-in appointments.
