Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

We expect student to work a full work day , Monday - Friday 8:30 - 6 pm.  We expect that the students will be engaged and excited to learn and discuss cases.  I will always be with students to make sure they have a good comfort level for any procedure they are performing.  My goal is that feel confident after their externship has concluded that they  will be excellent DVMs.
