Description of Elective Experience

Seville Animal Hospital is a small animal practice with 2 full time doctors and 2 part time doctors. We are located south of Medina Ohio and we see canine and feline patients only. The student will shadow one of our full time DVM's listening and learning to varied cases throughout their time here.  

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?
  1. Student will be responsible for charting medical records and communicating patient needs with clients
  2. Students will discuss cases daily
  3. Students will be allowed to assist in surgeries
  4. Students will develop diagnostic plans and assist DVM in proper treatment plans for each specific case
  5. Student will be expected to perform physical exams
