Description of Elective Experience

Rural mixed animal practice with several surgeries daily, and small animal appointments. Large animal OB work, including calvings and pregnancy checking. We also cover a sale barn and work a lot of cattle in the spring and fall. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

We have 2 veterinarians, 3 RVTs and 2 VA. CBC, Chem, laser, digital radiology. Perform abundance of cytology’s, fecals and urinalysis all in house. 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

We are open Monday through Friday 8-5 and Saturday 8-12. The student would be expected to work Monday-Friday. Saturday is optional, as well as after hours emergency help. The student will be allowed to do as much as they are comfortable doing in Terms of surgeries. 

Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info)

Housing is possibly available depending on time of year. A client has an Air B-and-B within a mile of our clinic as well.
