Description of Elective Experience

Riverview, LLP is an agribusiness based in Morris, Minnesota with dairy and beef farms in both the upper Midwest and Southwest. We provide an opportunity to engage with our on-staff veterinarians while working on-farm to gain practical experience in dairy or youngstock management, working in the various production areas of our farm – maternity, ICU, feeding, reproduction etc. through tailored rotations.  During the 2-week externship we encourage students to implement a practical research project of importance to the student and to Riverview, in collaboration with university veterinary faculty and Riverview’s on-staff veterinarians.
