First half of offsite experience will include:
1/2 day shadowing office calls, 1/2 days observing assisting surgeries
second opinion, brief write up of all radiographs taken
second opinion, q and a about all blood panels
minor surgery such as laceration repair, abscess surgery
Second half of offsite experience
All of the above plus elective surgical procedures and dental extraction under supervision of licensed veterinarian
We are a well equipped animal hospital. We are have ultrasound, digital radiographs, high end surgical monitors, surgical and therapy lasers, tonopen, full flexible and rigid endoscopic gear. We can perform most orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries in house but have an excellent referral facility nearby as when needed.
We are staffed with skilled licensed technicians and assistants in a ratio of 3/1 staff to doctor ratio
We are AAHA accredited for 7 years and follow AAHA mentoring guidelines
Flexible but student may be present any hours we are open as she wishes or to the minimum extent required to fulfill her educational obligations.
We will be able to engage her all the time that she is here in a meaningful way.
We are open 7-8 weekdays and 9-5 Saturdays
We do not have housing on site but may be able to arrange for an exteded stay accomodation and help to defray part of the cost if needed. I will also know closer to the time of visit if any off my staff members may be able to provide suitable housing arrangements to reduce cost for the experience.
