Description of Elective Experience

Extern will received a comprehensive experience of GP medicine and surgical experience.  Some shelter medicine as we work with a few rescues within the central Ohio area.  

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Student will have a team of CSR, Technicians, and mentor doctor to learn from.  Doctors utilize VIN, a library of books for the doctors.  

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

We are flexible for schedule, medical is in from 8am - 5pm M-F, 8am-3pm Saturday.  Student will be seeing patients developing a treatment plan with their mentor and carrying out the client communication and treatment plan.  With our onsite rescue animals, we allow our 3rd & 4th years students to perform spay and neuters.
