Description of Elective Experience

Students will shadow different specialities, PE animals, help generate differential lists and diagnostic/treatment plans.  Student will have the opportunity to assist in various procedures and scrub into surgeries 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

1 Criticalist, 1 Internist, 2 Surgeons, 2 Neurologists, 1.5 Radiologists, 0.5 cardiologists, MRI, CT, Endoscope, 24 hr ICU

20+ CVT/RVT/LVT nurses 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

4 - 10 hour days per week, no overnight/weekends required. 

Direct 1-1 shadowing of DVM, Topic rounds are time permitting, case and inpatient rounds daily
