Description of Elective Experience

We are a 3 doctor practice which offers a supportive learning environment in which the student will gain experience in a clinical setting which provides exceptional medical and surgical services to our clients.   We strive to establish strong relationships with our clients so that they can actively participate in the decision making process regarding the health of their pets.     

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Our highly trained staff, which includes 7 registered technicians, is committed to working as a team to offer quality care with compassion.  The clinic is equipped with digital survey and dental x-rays, ultrasound, an in house lab, 5 exam rooms, and a surgical suite.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

The student will be encouraged to actively participate in examining patients, analyzing diagnostic tests, and forming a treatment plan.  Also time will be scheduled to observe/assist in routine surgeries.  A  32-40 hour work week would be expected.
