Description of Elective Experience

At Philema Animal Hospital, externs will work alongside several veterinarians and gain hands on experience. We will guide the students through cases on diagnostic findings and treatment plans. Each student will have chance to perform surgery based on skill set and comfortability. We will provide insight on the buisness side of veterinary medicine along with practicing high quality medicine. The majority of our case work will be small animal with some farm calls.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Students will work Monday through Friday. Philema Animal Hospital covers emergency call, which the student may elect to help for further experience.
