We are a very busy hospital that does not take appointments, Therefore we see a high volume of emergencies and critical care cases such as trauma-dog attacks, pyometrias, dystocias - c sections, urinary obstruction ,gastrointestinal foreign bodies ,critical parvovirus cases ,geriatric medicine, congestive cardiac failure , lameness, toxicities, and many many more interesting and serious cases. Dr Casillas has over 25 years of experience amd has started and sold numerous successful Hospitals in the greater Los Angeles area. Dr Casillas is a master communicator and is trained in client communications and public service This is an invigorating fast paced learning environment for the student. We also do a large amount of advanced dentistry, internal medicine, routine spay and neutering, as well as wellness exams, puppy exams, and routine vaccinations. Student will get a broad well rounded thorough clinical immersion and understanding of a very busy and successful real world veterinary practice.

Dr Casillas will personally review learning material, books , and digital learning platforms with student and apply case to case knowledge and reasoning skills to the treatment plans and therapies we provide to pets.
Student will shadow and observe the Doctor. They will also get hands on experience helping and assisting with surgery , internal medicine cases, diagnostics , routine examinations, vaccines, and client communications.. They will deal with clients In exam rooms and over the phone. They will help Doctor review diagnostic tests and data , clinical pathology , blood work , lab results. They will discuss findings and help Doctor come up with treatment plans, differential diagnosis lists, and ultimately administer and implement treatment and therapies that the pets need. They will also learn to implement communications of Hospitals recommendations and plans to clients and discuss charges and fees as well. We will give them a lot of hands on experience and training. We utilize high level Communication methods and systems. They will learn to keep accurate and precise digital medical records . They will learn to manage and instruct support staff and technicians. They will be exposed to a-lot and given a lot of responsibilities , But they will always have the Doctors and management strongly supporting and observing them. Staff will always be available for advice, instruction, and support . This should be a great learning experience and opportunity!
