Description of Elective Experience

Students recieve one-on-one instruction in spay/neuter procedures as well as participate in vaccine/general wellness visits.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

We typically have three veterinarians eprforming surgery and two seeing wellness visits on any given weekday.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Hours: 8am-3:30pm mon-fri; wednesday evening 4pm-6:30-ishpm; one saturday 9am-2:30-ishpm. Students are expected to observe and help out wherever necessary, students generally see wellness visits dependent on their comfort level, students do 3 cat neuters, 3 dog neuters, 3 cat spays, and 3 dog spays- everything a student does is under direct veterinay supervision.
