Description of Elective Experience

Externs can expect to spend 8-10 hours per day with internist, surgeon, or emergency clinican. Discussion of cases including differentials, diagnostics, therapies and outcomes will be expected. Hands on experience is dependent on case load and type of case. At times, students will be directed to another service to experience unique or interesting cases/procedures. Free time between cases is to be spent reading/studying.

3 Surgeons (1 CCRT), 2 internists, 1 critical care specialist, 10 emergency doctors, MRI, CT, linear acclerator, radiology, ultrasound (2), endoscopy, physical rehabilitation (underwater treadmill).
