Description of Elective Experience

Large animal veterinary care - predominantly equine with lameness and reproductive focus. Practice also treats other large animals and has an associated small animal hospital. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Clinic, reproductive facility. Digital x ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, pro-stride available. 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Mostly shadowing with opportunities for hands on experience. We have a herd of embryo recipient mares they can palpate and we will have them assist and be involved in all procedures.
