Description of Elective Experience

Student will be paired with one of our experienced Medical Directors to shadow and assist them throughout their work day.  Student will get a wide range of experience in our full service small animal hospitals including surgery (featuring surgical lasers), dentistry (including dental radiographs), ultrasound, and radiology.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Each of our locations is staffed with 4-8 full time Veterinarians, and 15-30 support staff.  Each location is equipped with surgical lasers, digital dental and full body radiographs, ultrasound, and a full in network lab.  

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

We would expect the student to work approximately the same shift as the veterinarian they are paired with.  Experience would be a combination of shadowing and actual support.
