Description of Elective Experience

We operate three (3) satellite veterinary clinics across the Navajo Nation and are a Navajo Nation Government Agency. We serve as Public Health, State and Regulatory Veterinarians for the Navajo Nation and provide Direct Services to the Navajo people. We also operate a mobile unit during summer and fall months

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Digital Radiography, CBC Chemistry out of clinic Laboratory, 2 technicians and 1 receptionist. 1 DVM (currently) Anesthesia Machine, Dentistry Machine

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm Intake of patients and work with technicians and DVM on walk-in cases Assist DVM with Surgeries Will be 2 technicians on duty

Student Housing (include costs, amenities, pet friendly, contact info if different from elective contact info)

Student will have to bring personals and bedding. We have bed, bathroom, showers and kitchen area at Tse Bonito Clinic Student will be responsible for food and meals. Pet Friendly area
