Description of Elective Experience

Shadow ER doctors while they perform physical exams, procedures, and client communications. Help out as assistant/technician as needed with restraint and sample collection.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Fully staffed 24 hour ER with 6 criticalists, 17 ER doctors, 6 small animal rotating interns, 3 Emergency Clinician Mentorship Program houseofficers, 3 surgery interns, 1 neuro intern

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Roughly 36 hours per week of shadowing doctors and support as assistant/tech depending on comfort
