Description of Elective Experience

Student will spend 40 hours per week observing and shadowing board-certified radiologists and radiology residents.

We are a Level 1 24-hour emergency/critical care and specialty veterinary hospital

Our 42,000 sq.ft hospital features an ambulance bay for emergency situations, several dedicated treatment wards, over 20 exam rooms, digital radiography suites, MRI and CT suites, state-of-the-art operating rooms, and an ICU. We offer a veterinary compounding pharmacy, joint replacement and orthopedic surgical services, neurosurgery suite, and an oncology center. Our hospital provides referral services in the specialties of Anesthesia, Cardiology, Diagnostic Imaging, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Oncology, Social Work, and Surgery. We have 265 full-time/part-time staff members including 80 veterinarians.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

4-5 days per week, Monday - Friday. Will shadow Radiologists and Radiology residents daily with minimally 1:1 support.
