Description of Elective Experience

We offer unpaid rotations where students may shadow our three full-time veterinarians and assist where appropriate. Our schedule varies day to day and our patients include avian, exotic, canine, feline, and small mammal patients as well as injured wildlife for both routine appointments and surgeries. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

We have a staff of three full time veterinarians, three receptionists, seven veterinary technicians, and two kennel attendants/boarding specialists. Our services include avian and exotic boarding, bird grooming, avian behavioral consultations, nutritional counseling, routine and specialized surgeries, dental care, endoscopy, and ultrasound. Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

We accommodate shadowing hours Monday-Friday from 8:00AM-5:00PM. Students are expected to observe and may assist as our veterinarians allow.
