Description of Elective Experience

Students will spend one on one time with supervising veterinarian in hospital during surgery as well as in hospital appointments.  Mobile appointments also an option 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

We have surgery suites in all hospitals, as well as digital x-ray, ultrasound, full dental suite, in house bloodwork machines.  Our mobile units have ultrasound and x-ray machines.  We have three hospital locations, 11 veterinarians and over 50 support staff (technicians, kennel attendants and office support). 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

We are very flexible around what is required of the externship.  Full or part time hours are available.  Weeknights and some weekends would be required.  Students are welcome to shadow or be actual support.
