Description of Elective Experience

Students will work for two board certified poultry veterinarians at a family-owned commercial broiler production company. Day to day activities will vary, but can include: visits to a chicken hatchery, feed mill, processing plant, farm visits (broilers and breeders), and necropsy duties. 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

We work 5 days a week, ~40 hours a week. Some weeks will include traveling to our other complexes across the US with a veterinarian.
