Description of Elective Experience

Solo, Equine (85%) , Small ruminant (5%), and  Small Animal (10%) Ambulatory Veterinary care with an emphasis on high quality conventional and integrative medicine in rural Ohio. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Small staff of three, including the veterinarian. Equipment includes but not limited to;

Digital Radiographs, Digital Ultrasound, Gastroscope, Dental Float and tools, Dental Endoscope, Shockwave, ProStride and other joint injection medication, Upper Airway Endoscope. 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Helping during business hours. Loading and packing the vehicles, prepping for the day. The student would assist throughout the day with exams and procedures. Accompanying using after hours emergencies is thy were to occur. Some weeks we do see weekend appointments and I would expect the student to attend those appointments as well. (Often lameness/integrative work.)
