Description of Elective Experience

Student will accompany veterinarians on dairy or beef visits.  Experience will consist of: bovine palpation/pregnancy diagnosis, brucellosis vaccination, DA surgery, records analysis and consulting, employee training, OB assist, BSE exams, embryo transfer, ect. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

8 doctor practice, no staff, 100% ambulatory. 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Students are responsible responsible for their own transportation. Many mornings you will be meeting us and the dairies. Also responsible for their own boots and coveralls/bibs. Lots of hands-on experience. No on-call responsibilities.

No cost for student housing.
