Description of Elective Experience

If you are considering a career in small animal practice, come spend
some time with the Hall team in Northern Michigan! We are a three-doctor
practice with a strong support staff that will provide you with an excellent hands-on learning opportunity in a family orientated environment with convenient hours. Our doctors enjoy teaching and are eager to share their experience with you! We enjoy a diverse medical and surgical caseload and are equipped with digital radiography, dental radiograph, ultrasound, CO2 laser, and in-house laboratory.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Physical exams (small animal & exotics)
Formulate treatment plans
Assisting surgeon
Dentistry - prophylaxis & extractions
Client communication
Obtaining medical histories
Diagnostic interpretation
Anesthesia planning & monitoring
Technical skills
Maintain medical records
