Description of Elective Experience

Routine small animal practice:   surgery, dental, wellness and sick patient appointments

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

2 doctor practice with experienced CVA training technicians, 4 exam rooms, full in clinic lab capabilities and radiology.   We use a traveling orthopedic surgery group and ultrasound services that come in our facility often.  

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Student is expected to work and shadow from 745am to 5pm Monday through Friday and Saturday 9am-1pm on the days they are with us.  Most of their time will be shadowing a licensed veterinarian, but the student will have some freedom (depending on his/ her comfort and skill sets.)  Our current technician staff is excellent and will set up the student for success with every patient!
