Description of Elective Experience

Shadow and participate in day-to-day activities of private practice veterinarians specializing in production medicine for swine and poultry. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

3 full time food animal veterinarians on staff.  Student will be supervised by a veterinarian at all times. 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Student will shadow one or more veterinarians each day.  Exact times will vary, but expect 7-10 hours 5 days a week.
