EcoHealth Alliance is a global nonprofit leading scientific research into the critical connections between human, animal and environmental health. This elective experience allows students with research and conservation health interests develop a research project, identify and apply for grants, and create a budget for a research opportunity. Students will be asked to deliver a presentation on their work to our community of over 50 global scientists.
If externships coincide with scientist travel, students may have an opportunity to participate in international reserach activities if self-funding can be procured.
Student is expected to commit 40-50 hours per week on this rotation with daily updates and communication with the veterinarian. An end of week review will take place to assess progress and plans for the next week. By the end of the rotation, the student should have prepared a grant application ready for submission, an itemized budget for a research project, and a presentation covering the project goals and planned methods.
Rotation is virtual
