Description of Elective Experience

The practice consists of 7 DVM's working in a diverse environment; students may preview the day's schedule and choose the experiences they wish to be involved with. The practice is 40% commercial kennel, 25% pet practice, 35% large animal with a very heavy regulatory and surgical case load in all areas.

7 DVMs, 11 Techs, fully equipped lab, multiple ultrasounds, endoscope, ditital x-ray,VIN, library, Cold Laser

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Students are expected to be "on call" with the evening technician to assist with ER and evening treatments.  The on-call doctor will call in the student for cases of interest.
