Description of Elective Experience

Students will gain a hands on experience in a high volume, multi-doctor rural mixed practice, providing wellness, sick patient, surgical, and emergency medicine both in the clinic and on the farm. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

CTVH is well staffed and well equipped with in house Idexx analyzers, digital radiography, ultrasound.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Students are expected to work alongside doctors and techs, averaging 40+ hours a week and assisting the DVMs on call for emergencies after hours.
