Description of Elective Experience

Work with staff veterinarians to provide routine and emergncy veterinary care to lab animal used to support infectious disease research to include necropsy, pathology, didatic and BSl3 training.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Fully equiped vivarium with educational resources provided by Emory University adn CDC staff

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Students are expected to work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week (not to include holidays) in support of clinical veterinarians
