Visits our surgery team where students could experience client/doctor communications with history taking and client/doctor communications. Experienced examination by a surgeon, case discussion and surgical experience in the OR- similar to 4th year clinical rotations.
We are a large specialty hospital where we have multiple technicians, staffing, support staff as resources. From a surgical perspective, we have laparoscopy, multiple stapling devices, ligasure, etc.
Students will have the opportunity to visit with us 5d per week. As stated in the description, students are afforded hands on experience at the surgeons discretion. The expectation is to be an eager learner and participate at their comfort level. We support visiting students often and enjoy their presence. Students will visit ~8am until 5-6pm when the service finishes the day.
