Description of Elective Experience

Student will gain experience in a busy (40-50 patients per day) walk-in clinic. 

The practice operates as an urgent care/emergency  clinic as well as seeing routine 

Preventive care.  Student will also participate in a variety of surgeries including 

Sterilizations, dental care, mass removals and whatever else needs care.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Digital radiography, cold laser therapy, in-house bloodworm, cytology, ...

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Student will have 36+ hours per week.  The amount of responsibility delegated to the student

Will be directly related to the student's willingness and comfort level.  Student will be an 

effective/active member of the team.
