Description of Elective Experience

During this elective offsite rotation, the student will be exposed to the typical caseload of a busy small animal practice. This will include wellness exams, sick visits, routine and non-routine surgeries as well as dental procedures. The student may be asked to obtain histories and perform physical exams with goal of developing differential diagnoses and treatment plans. Depending on the case, there may also be opportunities to scrub into surgery to assist at the discretion of the supervising veterinarian.
