Humane Society that offers surgical experience with spay/neuter, entropion, enucleation, wound care, dentistry and extraction procedures. Also experience with kennel stress and medicinal intervention for behavior.
Surgical suite with oxygen concentrator and high volume spay/neuter supplies. Dental suite with oxygen concentrator, iM3 dental unit and Midmark/Progeny dental radiographs.
Students are expected to be scheduled while the shelter Veterinarian is in the building. For specific cases, information of case is gathered and brought to Veterinarian with clear information and idea of what the student's understanding is. Surgical experience- will be directly monitored and working under the shelter Veterinarian for surgical cases and dental procedures.
