Description of Elective Experience

This is a general practice in Huntington Beach, CA that has all of the services of a classic small animal GP clinic. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

There are currently two veterinarians on staff at this clinic and provide opportunities including surgical experience, dental experience, and take in approximately 10-15 cases a day for each veterinarian. 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

The students' responsibilities were to be involved in the major cases of the day, communicate and follow up with owners regarding a presenting exam or diagnostic requests, and perform the daily duties recommending diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. The number of days in the week would be approximately 4-5 with around 40 hour work weeks.
