Description of Elective Experience

General small animal practice seeing dogs, cats, and the occasional small mammal.  Soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and general medicine are performed. 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Examine and diagnosis of patients, elective spay/neuter procedures and dentistry under direct guidance of mentor doctor. Shadowing and ability to assist on other soft tissue surgeries (mass removals, cystotomy, etc).  40 hours per week commitment.
