Description of Elective Experience

After hours emergency care- primarily parvo, parasites, and tick borne disease issues, dog fights, punctures and lacerations, vomiting, diarrhea, hematomas, foreign bodies, poisonings, blocked cats, HBCs, and unfortunately lots of euths.

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Staff of 6 plus 1 of 2 doctors. also operate a low cost feline spay and neuter clinic 3-4 times a month.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

40 hours per week. Monday & Wednesday off. Usual times would be 2pm -10pm, but depending on cases, often later. Private suite in the clinic. Lots of hands on experience and dedicated staff to help in your time with us. Owner looking for veterinarian to work in position working 3 weeks per month. One week per month off. Salary negotiable.
