We offer digital x-ray, surgical laser, therapy laser, dental unit, Idexx Vet Lab in-house laboratory, ultrasound, soon to be computerized records (Ezyvet) and an enthusiastic and well trained RVTs. Our practice is mainly small animal but is under new ownership is actively expanding the large animal department. We have a large library and access to VIN.
The student will work with Dr. Amity Wise and other Dr's in the clinic to get a hands on learning experience. In the equine department, we usually do hands on based on previous experience in school and willingness to study and listen carefully. Dr. Wise also has her own horses and sheep that maybe used for practicing techniques. Dr. Wise is committed to education and you will be expected to look things up, study and help up with not only the ideal way to treat a problem but also at least 2 other ways that will benefit the patient if the client is unable to go for the gold standard. Our current hours are Mondays 8-4 pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 6-4pm, and Friday from 8-noon.
