Description of Elective Experience

  • Oncology (including Radiation Oncology)

  • Coming soon (2025): Surgery, Neurology, a 24hr ER

We will also be hosting interns starting (2025).

Students are a able to shadow specialist throughout their day both in and outside of rooms. They have access to our computer system and are encouraged to look at the cases they will be seeing prior to each day so that they can formulate plans with the specialist.

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Schedule for students: 

  • Internal Medicine/Cardiology/ECC: 8a-~4:30p
  • Oncology: 7a-4:30p

Students are expected to participate 5 days a week (Mon-Fri). 

Students are expected to show up on time and prepared for the day (reading the cases the day prior so they can participate as much as possible).
