Description of Elective Experience

The student will rotated through the cardiology service with three full time cardiologists.  Focus will be placed on physical examination, diagnostic plan creation, ECG interpretation, thoracic radiograph interpretation, and treatment of cardiovascular disease in the clinical setting. 

Institutional and Educational Resources - staffing, equipment, etc.

Vivid E95 (two machines) 

BeeCardia 7 lead ECG (two machines) 

doppler and oscillometric blood pressure evaluation (multiple of each) 

digital radiography 

holter monitoring 

Student Responsibilities - what is expected of students in terms of hours, days of the week, shadowing or actual support?

Monday- Friday 8am-6pm ; inclusive of showing and some technical support in order to demonstrate technical competence.
